Because 10H hardness is achieved in most DuraSlic formulations, scratch resistance is improved. By incorporating specific functional groups into the polymer, various properties can be achieved including ambient temperature curing, heat-induced crosslinking, and UV resistance. In addition, interesting and useful surface effects have been achieved such as DuraSlic’s characteristic hydrophobicity and oleophobicity.
